Means Battery Saver Mode Patented VG-2 Cloaking Technology What's in the Box Customer ReviewsDazzling cost/performance detectorI was darned skeptical about the performance of a $40 detector, but after a few recent road trips, I am convinced this is indeed a well functioning product. Although it does not have exceptional filtering ability for deceitful signals, it can still give you enough X/K/Ka warning for you to slow down in time. The two blue LED's are a great invention, because you can easily see them out of the corner of your eye. This is extremely useful when your radio drowns out the audible signals, or when the sun washes out the foremost letter warning lights. You simply can't go wrong with the price. It does not have the features of the top of the tailback detectors (coiled power cord, voice alert, subject-matter readout, settings save, compass, etc), yet it has at its core the most important article: the basic detection ability to provide enough warning for the driver. Renowned buy! Trim quality. No nonsense.Picks up some stray X from industrial parks or commercial buildings every now in Highway mode if buildings are adjacent to interstate, BUT these signals smoothly discerned giving only one bar on strength meter, and a couple warning only chirps. However, first incessantly out, I had my unit reach three bars, light up the entire display like a Christmas tree, malfunction the periscopes constantly, basically seemed like the thing was going to implode ("spine-chilling"), and then I saw the cop! He was about 3/4 mile away, opposite side of interstate fa me with a victim pulled over, lights flashing.Caught him a second in good time always while exiting an off ramp in a hotel parking lot perpendicular to me prior to that with another casualty! "Big, bad, Dodge Hemi" cruiser, all painted up with intimidating graphics. "Big bad", sinew car, chase car with undoubtedly the latest radar. All I know is that this little $38 Whistler "smells" his sucker a... buy it i purchased the xtr 140 and it has been glaring so far, from what ive read the 330 has voice alerts and thats the only main dissimilarity. higher end radars have alot more features (compass, volt meter, aarows, pop detection etc) but none of that matters to me, i honourable wanted a radar detector that works. usually i find myself drifting 12 or so mph over the posted limit in the town and it gives me plenty of time to stop. besides a blip of ka when i pass a walgreens or cvs (if you are cutting at the doors its a full alert) the city 2 mode is pretty quiet. then again i can only hear the radar when it goes off with the radio on so the lights come in handy to get my attentioni bought the 140 pattern because it was cheap but still accurate. i really dont care about a 3-4 mile register of detection because with instant off and instant on even a v1 cant save you if you are alone on the road. no one uses POP radar and im not prospering to pay another $50 for a feature im not going to use, and...

What's in the Box Customer ReviewsYou have occasion for this!Saved a revitalize of money with this. I'll be honest and I am sorry for this, but I do speed on freeways in America. Stark, but in my opinion speed limits are way too low here. It's hard to drive on Autobahns with no move limits one day, and then the next thing you know, you live in America and you have to live with 55/65 mph. So to cut the run after, I've purchased this unit to avoid tickets and to replace my previous lessen end Cobra that had a lot of false alarms.Summary:Fake alarms reduced by 90% (besides strange moments such as warning me of Train and Railroad when going to Safeway)Voice warning comes handyDetects highway patrol/cops from far far in a different place, including their most advanced guns, thus saving you a fortune.Beware some officers comprehend their job well: Will not protect you from those smart officers, who know how to ticket you by tailgating you. No detector will assist you against that one. Trust me I got ticket that way.Checked legality with friend of... As agreeable as units twice the price I recently took a 400 mile horses corral trip with my Cobra and I was very pleased in fact it saved me twice from getting a $180 ticket so it more than paid for it self two times over. Factitious alerts are very rare and it's very obvious by the strength that it's from a store. On a straight run on the highway I get about a two mile or more augury. On hills and curves that is cut down quite a bit but still enough time to slow down. I love the surprisingly features like the compass and intellimute. The usb port for the gps module is consequential to have if I ever want red light camera capability. The size is a little longer that other radar detectors but the suction cup mount seems stronger that the $350 Guide I had and the unit does not shake like the Escort did. The coiled line is nice and is a perfect length for my car. A long straight cord is accessible if anyone needs that.Overall I'm very happy with the Cobra. It looks great and works outstanding. What more can you ask for? Buy it. You'll like... Cobra XRS 9945 Pros:"LCD show off"Great detectionTons of featuresAccurate compassGreat alert distance also shows the propinquity of how close they areAble to Change colors of the LCDCons:Large for a radar detector. Extent is standard but it's a little longer than most.A longer power cord would be likeable to conceal wires.Resetting the compass on occasionAfter using the dispirited color scheme with the brightness level on "bright" for a month or two the burg and high way symbol are lightly burned into the screen. Which means it's either a low calibre LCD or it's not a lcd at all.Needs to be a little bit louderConclusion:Cobra products are either a hit or miss. This is assuredly one of the hits. Great overall performance, has great features with a few eliminating comings, and surely helps prevent getting speeding tickets. At this evaluate point this is a great value overall.

I am very familiar with radar being a commercial pilot. I've owned radar detecting materiel off and on for 32 years. This is the most sophisticated highly sensitive unit I've owned and its hands down to set up and operate. Its mounted on my dash since I cant reach the windshield from the drivers base. The radar detector performs great. It has many features to reduce false alerts. I like the intellimute countenance. It senses your RPMS and mutes the sound up to a preset RPM that you have entered, added to speed alerts you can preset. Mine is set at 75. It will chime and says "aid alert" if speed is exceeded, very handy and shows your speed when alerting. It has picked up state troopers in burgh blocks away, plenty of time to adjust your speed. The cover is visable in bright daylight, but I use the blackout feature which it goes evil after a preset time you enter but it will light back up upon a radar/gps signal. The icons can be set to singular... Splendid Protection and Detection Capabilites. I can recall the last radar detector I had was a Cobra. They sure have come a long ways since the sustained strip of red lights that would increase in increments when a signal was detected. The Cobra XRS 9970G is all digital, full go red in the face touch screen and has an easy to read display. Gives you 360 degrees of shelter. The voice alerts are a plus to let you know if you are being targeted. Measurements are around 5 x 3 And weighs about 7 ounces. There are so many features in this little piece of equipment. The remarkably features I find the most helpful is the GPS Locator, the low battery warning and the speed for. We have a rebuilt 1984 Mustang drag car that is street legal and the speedometer is not nice. Using the speed indicator on the radar detector has been extremely helpful to keep an eye on our speeds. With so many features and options, you will need to play around with it to feature out how to set the features and unfurl to your needs. The Cobra XRS 9970G offers... so far so worthy interfere with screen is surprisingly spacious - and the ease of configurability is a real profit over comparable detectors.I got this more for the fixed location camera alerts than for the radar, and so far it has scored 100pct on that. I checked it against all the known locations the first evening it came in, and on the way I picked up a few more I didn't know about. The software (once you find it on the site - not the easiest id in the world to do) works very well. It runs itself as a background utility which I recommend you take away from your startup if you need the ram, altho it's small and not a huge deal. The pro to keeping it in startup is that u can update the gps perfectly by plugging in and it autosenses - the con is the little bit of ram, but to get around that you'd just have to run it from your programs menu then blurb in (dunno if youd have to remove it from startup again; probably). The radar functions have been personal property thus far - it kept me out of...
Escort Passport 9500ix Radar/Laser Detector (Blue Display)

DescriptionWatch over Passport 9500ix Radar/Laser Detector (Black)Customer ReviewsAttendant 9500ix VS Beltronics GX65WHICH ONE IS Well-advised b wealthier? READ AND FIND OUT. I bought both the Escort 9500ix and Beltronics GX65 for a week extended, on dash, real world comparison. They both are sold by the same company and they proffer a 30 day, money back guarantee. I figured, what the heck.....I'll try them out, side by side. These units were both mounted at the same devastate on the window of my truck.I read all the reviews I could get my hands on and narrowed it down to these two radar detectors. The Accompany 9500ix and Beltronics GX65 models are touted as the most sensitive window mounted units handy with the new "GPS" advantage.DISPLAY- Both units have the option of dim, medium, bright, mournful and auto mode. The Escort 9500ix has blue lights. The breeding of this unit is black, but glows blue around the numbers, to a point of skewing the present a little bit. At night, it is easier to read. The Beltronics GX65 has red lights with a complete black background. The GX65 display is crystal... Unlikely Product!!! I recently purchased a Passport 9500ix and can morally say it is by far the best detector I've ever owned. As a previous owner of several other brands including Cobra, Whistler and a V1, this one is brighten years ahead. From the moment I mounted it in my car, (which was super easy with their mount) I knew this one was many. I proceeded to mount it on the glass and started driving it without even looking at the possessor's manual. As I began to drive, I was alerted to several door openers that my other detectors didn't even see, which to me indicated that it was far more hypersensitive. On my way back home, along the same route, I was alerted once again to these same door openers. At this point I began to reward why I quit driving with a detector many years ago....false alarms! Now that I had a more testy detector, I was wondering if I could stand to hear all of this noise everyday. The next day I went to labour, (close to the same route as picking up my kids) and... Up-market? Sure. Worth the Expense? Absolutely If I had to sum up how I have the impression about the Escort 9500ix in a just few words, it would be "this detector is absolutely beyond belief" and leave it and its five star rating at that. But, if I was looking at detectors and see the price of the Entourage and read only "this detector is....", it wouldn't sell me, so I'll expand the periodical (please pardon that the examples I use relate to areas in and around the Twin Cities, but clearly they should apply to anywhere these situations may be encountered)Why 5 stars? In short...-Because it warned me of a four of speed traps a little less than a mile out before I encountered the squads on 169 between Shakopee and LeSueur. This was of the utmost prominence, not only because it saved me possible speeding tickets, but it also seemed to mollify my wife who was a minor unsure that spending $500 on a "gadget" was a wise expenditure in this succinctness...-Because the auto-learn feature absolutely works. For illustration: There are... |
